Born Oct. 4, 1991, in Hyannis, Lauren grew up in Mashpee. She graduated from Mashpee High School and was preparing to enter her sophomore year at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she was studying to become a medical doctor.

In her short time, Lauren accomplished many things. She was an active soccer player, a member of the Key Club and National Honor Society, tutored local elementary students, was a member of the Future Business Leaders, and volunteered for the Special Olympics. Lauren attended leadership programs at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Brown University. She was a member of the children’s choir and an altar server at Christ the King Parish in Mashpee.

During summer and school vacations Lauren worked at Marshall’s in Mashpee. She routinely babysat for several local families and will be especially missed by Riely, Raegan, and Quinn. At Tulane University, she was an active member of the Phi Mu Sorority, the Residential Life Committee, and also tutored within the community school system.

Lauren was a strong, confident, and independent leader. During her senior year at Mashpee High School, she developed a program to help 6th-grade girls appreciate their inner beauty and the importance of self-confidence and self-esteem. This program was widely acclaimed by school administrators, educators, and participants.
